Sponsor
The participant who recruits and is credited with a new participant.

The sponsor is the person who signs up a new participant and usually receives the first-level commissions and any fast start bonus on them. Some plans distinguish the enroller (who recruited) from the placement sponsor (whose leg the new participant is placed in).
