Placement
Deciding where in the tree a new recruit is positioned, which may differ from who sponsored them.
Many plans separate enroller from placement: the person who recruited earns enrolment bonuses, while the recruit is placed under someone else to build a leg or balance a binary. Placement rules are where structural games like stacking happen.
