Plan structure
Hybrid plan
A plan combining elements of two or more types, for example unilevel pay with a binary team bonus.
Most modern plans are hybrids. A common pattern is a unilevel base for retail and first-level commissions plus a binary or matrix structure for team bonuses, plus rank bonuses on top.
Hybrids are the hardest to model because the pieces interact. Model each component separately and add them; if the plan document does not give enough detail to do that, treat the missing pieces as unknown, not as upside.
