Cap
An upper limit on commissions from a plan component, per period or per position.
Also: commission cap, earnings cap
Caps limit binary cycles per week, matching bonuses, or total commissions. Some plans allow multiple positions to get around caps, which is a structural signal that the plan pays for recruiting rather than selling.
