Survivorship bias

Judging an opportunity by the people who stayed, ignoring those who left.

Testimonials, stage recognition and "average income by rank" tables all show people who are still in the business. Participants who quit after losing money are invisible in those views. Annual attrition in direct selling is high, so the surviving group is a small, unrepresentative sample.

An income disclosure that counts only participants active at year end has the same bias built in.
