FTC staff report on income disclosures (2024)

In September 2024, staff of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection published a review of 70 publicly available income disclosure statements. According to the report, most omitted participants with no earnings, did not account for expenses, emphasised high earners and used undefined terms. It is the benchmark against which we read every statement.
