Participant count
The number of people signed up as participants, as reported by the company.
Also: active members, distributor count, independent business owners count
Companies report participant numbers in different ways: everyone ever signed up, everyone active in the last period, or only those who ordered. The definition changes the denominator of every income statistic. Compare the count in the income disclosure to the count in the annual report; the gap is people excluded.
