MLM forums: The complete list (39 forums and how to use them)

Posted by: Direct Selling Star -

Are you looking to connect with network marketers?

Are you looking to learn more about the industry?

Are you looking for MLM forums?

Then you’ve definitely come to the right place.

In this post we’ve not just included an easy to digest list of 39 forums

But also info and statistics about each and some tips and information about forums in general.

Disclaimer: some of the statistics are rounded to an even number if applicable. Since the numbers always change the numbers on this page may not be an exact match though we try to update them regularly.

What are forums?

According to Wikipedia:

“An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages.” – Source

Simply put, it’s a place where you can connect with like-minded individuals.

Connecting with people

You post these message in what’s called a thread.

A thread is simply a message submitted by someone that other people can comment and discuss on.

For example say that you’ve posted the question “What MLM company is the best one?” as a thread on a forum.

People can now comment on this and answer your question.

How can I use Network Marketing Forums to benefit my business?

confidence

Since forums are usually created around specific categories and interests there are almost always relevant forums for you and your business.

This post covers MLM forums, meaning forums that are specific to mlm(or at least have threads and sections that are related to it).

Theses are great for connecting with others in network marketing and to learn from others in the same boat as you.

Have you ever wondered why there are clubs for millionaires and billionaires?

It’s because as humans we need other people that face the same problems as we do and understand our situation.

Network marketing and direct sales forums exist for the same reason.

listening-levels

Other than networking and learning you also use these forums to answer questions about your company.

Sometimes people will ask questions about your company or opportunity, these could possibly be people that you can do business with.

Many people go to forums to ask questions before joining a network marketing company.

If you’re there to answer their questions and be helpful there’s a possibility that they want to buy from you or even join under you.

Whatever the case, it’s a great way to establish yourself as an authority on your company.

To sum it up: If someone is asking about the company you’re with, answer their questions and be helpful in general.

Except for the reasons that we mentioned above, we don’t recommend you to dedicate to much time to mlm forums.

In the end, most of the people there aren’t potential customers and your activity there will not affect sales in your business in a meaningful way.

Something that we’ve noticed which you’ve probably seen as well is that there’s a sort of epidemic going on in the industry.

Network marketers creating content for and marketing to other network marketers.

rare

The main reason is most likely that they copy big profiles in the industry that do this.

It can generate recruits for you but we are of the opinion that it doesn’t build a long-term business, especially now that almost everyone seem to be doing it.

The truth is…

The big profiles are doing it because their target audience is network marketers.

They aren’t trying to reach someone to sell their mlm company’s products.

They want to reach other network marketers to sell them products and training.

Since they are an authority in the industry, targeting network marketers does also get them recruits in their mlm business but this is because people follow and trust their advice.

We advise you not to go down this route

It won’t help your sales in a meaningful way.

Instead, focus on your target market and customers.

The people who are actually interested and in need of your products.

If you don’t know what your target market is or how to find out then we have a section just for you in our free 7 day lead generation course.

What kind of forums should I participate in?

question mark sign over head

We recommend that you mainly join and participate in forums that are specific to the category of business that you are in with your company (health for example). After all, the people on these forums are almost potential customers and business partners(don’t treat them just as such though).

They will also give you a great insight into the industry which will both help you connect with your customers and even find unfulfilled needs.

Long-term you want to become an authority in your niche, someone people can turn to when they’re wondering something or just have a question. Forums are a great way to start to build yourself as an authority. If you continually participate and give value in a specific forum it will establish you as someone that people can turn to.

give-value

Another reason to join and participate in forums has to do with the knowledge being shared there. Everything online is connected lots of people share the same things.

In many cases knowledge in the online world takes the following path: It first appears publically (it usually circles around in private groups first) in the forums where it’s then picked up by blogs as posts that they create, to then be picked up by the news magazines whose reporters usually read those blogs. Simply put, if you want to get good info before anyone else, you should hang out on forums and in private groups.

How to easily find forum posts about your network marketing company

Instead of just searching forums and google hoping to find a newly created post where you can swoop in and provide value(and hopefully gain a client from it) you can use boardreader.

Skärmavbild 2016-07-12 kl. 14.41.44

Here’s how it works

  • – Enter your search into the box
    •     – You’ll now see a bunch of different results, from several different forums.
  • – We recommend that you limit results to ones done in last few months so that you can act on the posts.

Say that we’ve searched for “avon distributor”

Skärmavbild 2016-07-12 kl. 15.03.46

We’ve set the time to the last 3 months. If we take a quick look at the list there is one in particular that stands out.

This one:

Skärmavbild_2016-07-12_kl__15_03_46

“Re: what is mlm and where to invest $30?”

Going just by the title, the person seems to be interested in mlm and is wondering if it’s worth it. While it isn’t specifically about Avon it might still be a relevant opportunity.

You won’t know immediately which posts you can act on, you still have to check, but it’s a much quicker way than just searching Google.

The List of MLM forums

mlm-forums

Following below is a list of 39 network marketing forums including info and statistics about each. Enjoy!

If there is a forum we’ve missed please mention it in the comment, if we include it we’ll be sure to mention your name in the post as the person who referred us to it.

The forum is in no particular order other than the 3 sections: the regular list of forums, forums in other languages, and forums that are not particularly fond of network marketing.

If you’re in direct sales we understand that you might not be interested in MLM material, though in this case direct sales forums are often in the same categories as the network marketing ones since they are similar at the core.

Terms used and what they mean

Traffic per month – How many visitors a website has per month, the number was taken from a tool called Similarweb which has statistics about big parts of the web.

Domain age – When the domain was first registered( a domain is the public address that you visit a website on , eg. “example.com”). We’ve included this so that you’ll can more easily see which forums are new and which have been in the game for a while.

Domain authority – A company called Moz has put together tools for measuring how powerful a website is based on the links it has(links are an important part of how search engines like Google determine how and where websites rank).

Alexa rank – The company Alexa has a service that ranks websites on the internet, mostly based on popularity.

Registered members – How many members the forum has as of the last update of this post.

Most users ever online – This one’s pretty self explanatory, what is the highest number of people that have visited the forum at the same time.

Links – If you are familiar with search engine optimization you might already know this but links can be either nofollow or do-follow. What these two mean essentially is if a link should count towards a site’s value to a search engine. A nofollow link isn’t followed by search engines and therefore give no boost to ranking while a dofollow link is the opposite, meaning that search engines follow it and takes it into account in your rankings. This field states if the links you can post on the site are either nofollow or dofollow. We wouldn’t choose a forum just because it has dofollow links though, forums don’t make a huge difference to your rankings so you should instead focus on building your authority and brand there rather than using it for links.

MLM.com

With such a great and respectable domain name you might expect the site to be a great one.

Well it is.

This might be the site with the most high quality discussions on this list and there are a lot of experts that are members of the site.

Stats:

Better Networker

Betternetworker logo

This was once “THE” network marketing and direct sales forum.

It was brimming with activity and it was also a place where you could find many top network marketing leaders participating as well.

While it’s glory days might be over for now, it’s still a great forum and other than the forum, the site has lots of great resources for learning and improving.

***

You may notice that the traffic seems quite low compared to the rest of the forums.

A big reason for this is that Better networker was hacked in the beginning of 2016.

It made web browsers display a message that warned users about visiting the site and made it a lot more difficult to visit unless you know what to do.

The site usually pulls quite respectable numbers but it might be a while before it gets up to those numbers again.

That doesn’t mean that it’s worth participating in though.

The lesser activity may actually benefit you.

Since there are fewer posts made there’s a higher chance that your posts will be seen, and for a longer time, which will definitely be beneficial if and when the traffic starts ramping up again.

IBO Toolbox /IBO social

IBO Toolbox logo
Because of how the way the advertising platform is structured on the site(it rewards you with credits based on your engagement in the community) the rate of engagement is very high.

It’s more of an mlm social network so it isn’t technically a forum, still, it definitely deserves a place on this list, since it’s one of the most popular places for network marketers and definitely has the most activity of the ones on this list.

Stats:

  • Traffic per month (Similarweb): IBO Social – 178 K, IBO Toolbox – 232 K
Their own statistics show over 100k visitors every day. Whatever might be the correct number, the fact still stands, it’s a very popular site.

WAHM – Work at home mom

Wahm.com logo
Don’t let the name discourage you, while the name suggests a place for moms that work from home it has room for a lot more.

You don’t have to be a work at home mom to use this forum, heck you don’t even need to be a mom or a woman.

The forum is an active one and they are very welcoming to new members. This is one of the forums that we recommend most on this list and that we ourselves also use.

Why do work is a great forum that’s been around for a while. It’s aimed at people that either work from home or that want to. Included in the forum’s categories is mlm and direct sales, sadly the glory days of the mlm part of the forum seem to be over and there’s not a whole lot of recent activity going on there. It doesn’t have as many pure advertisement/spam posts as a few others so it still might be worth going through the threads. You could also try starting a few threads and see what the response is, you never know before you’ve tested.

We haven’t used any of these forums ourselves since they are outside of our native languages. Therefore we can’t give you as much info about each. We’ve included them to help people wanting to connect with network marketers close to them and in their own language or people that may want to expand to other countries.

The primary language of each forum is included in the title.
